Dead Man Walking,
being read at 7:30pm on Sun April 13, is a short play.
It contains:
- flashing light
- graphic imagery
- profanity
- mature content
- storm violence
Still Far Still Wide,
being read at approximately 8pm on Sun April 13, is a full-length play. It is based loosely on the lives of Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson, and is dark and gothic in tone, theme, and content. It contains profanity and mature content, and includes, as major elements:
- seances
- anxiety
- agoraphobia
- alcoholism / opiate addiction / substance abuse
- spiritualism
- ghosts
- violence
- coughing up blood
- tuberculosis/consumption
- death
It also includes mention of:
- giving birth
- child marriage
- child neglect/abuse
- burying someone alive
