Halifax Fringe Auditions

The Villains Theatre is looking for actors and designers for our upcoming production, The Jackson Elementary Grade 6 Drama Club presents: BLOOD AND SNOW: THE DONNER PARTY’S FATAL FORAY INTO THE SIERRA NEVADA WILDERNESS (by Dan Bray). The Halifax Fringe Festival takes place Sept 3-13. Artists must be available for daytime rehearsals Aug 17-Sept 2 (exact dates TBD). This is currently a profit-share model.

About the show: “Welcome to Jackson Elementary, where Mrs Hazel’s Grade 6 class is about to unveil the skit they’ve devised for Pioneer Week. What ensues is a pitch-black, fairly-historically-accurate tragicomedy about America’s most notorious overlanders: the doomed Donner Party. An adorable meditation on Manifest Destiny, colonialism, and the settler’s lust for expansion, even when it comes at their own expense…” Winner of the Toronto Fringe’s 2026 24-Hour Playwriting Competition! Directed by Dan Bray.

In addition to performers, we are also soliciting submissions of interest from designers and stage managers.
