This past year has been a busy one for the Villains, full of exciting news and transformation. Not only did we change our company name and refocus our mandate, but our slate of new projects pushed our boundaries and allowed us to explore uncharted territory. We staged the powerful classic, The Duchess of Malfi. We premiered the site-specific adaptation, Arden. We held a workshop performance of Follow Me, a new play inspired by early modern texts. We partnered with other companies like DaPoPo Theatre to begin developing our newest project, The Blazing World. And in addition to all these endeavours, we are already scheming about many exciting plans for the season to come!
The Villain’s Theatre has a unique mandate, and we are proud to say that there is no other company in the world that does exactly what we do. We love doing it, too. But we can’t do it without you.
